Help Will HTC Sync 3.0.5481 work with Evo?

My wife's Evo Shift came with HTC Sync v3.0.5481 on the SD Card. I took a look and it looks a lot nicer than the v2.0.40 that exists for the Evo. Can I use that with my Evo or will it cause problems?


I saw a post from last November on Community.HTC.com from someone indicating that this version would not recognize his SD card...


Wondering if anyone else has played with it (v3.0.5481) or gotten it to work?

Thanks, my Evo isn't rooted but found the link to HTC.com with an even later version than I have... And it says "all android phones" which is what I'm sure you wanted me to see.
