Help Will I get charged for automatically updating weather data

If you have unlimited data, no you will not.

All of us currently have unlimited data (the $30 package) through Verizon. So use away!

If you are outside the US (another country, on a cruise, etc) then you could have data roaming charges. If you're inside the US or wherever your plan covers then you are fine.
