Will I lose Titanium Backup Pro Key if I flash back to stock?

I flashed to Serendipity 5.8 (now on 5.9). I purchased the Pro Key for Titanium Backup from the market after flashing to Serendipity. If I flash back to stock to try the impending ATT Froyo update, will I lose the Pro Key for Titanium Backup?

Mike

not if you leave the key on your sd card. if you wipe your sd card you may have to download it again

OK - on the sd card, I see folder DATA and it contains sub-folder COM.KERAMIDAS.TITANIUMBACKUP and in that folder is file LICENSING-CACHE.XML with a date stamp that matches the download. Is that the key? If I copy that to my PC, can I later copy it back if I do indeed lose the key during flashing?

Also, if I have to download it again, will I have to pay or is there another way?

Thanks for the help.

No, you shouldn't. And if you do no, you won't have to pay again, the Market will remember that you have as long as you use the same gmail account.

I'm not bothering with the 'official' update. I'm sure once it's released the custom ROM developers will incorporate it into their work - Mikey will do a great job massaging it so it works even better.

No. According to Joel Bourguard (author of the software), your key is remembered by the Market so that you can re-download the pro version key again. I had asked him the same question.

everything is rememberd by market. i have flashed at least 12 times to new roms now, without backing up. and market has remembered every last one of my purchases

This applied to the old method, where you got the text file emailed to you. This is the way mine is registered too.

The new method uses a separate paid app in the marketplace, so it's associated with your Google account.
