Will ice cream sandwich be available for the current S2?

Samsung/Google is supposed to introduce the next os, ice cream sandwich, on October 11.
Will the new os be available for the current S2, or do you need a new phone to use it?
I'm not familiar with how android os and phones do these things.

Who knows we will just have too wait till the announcement

Samsung is one of the companies that said it's committed to supporting its devices for a long time and providing timely software updates, so chances are we'll get the update

I think odds are extremely good when you consider that Samsung are the company making the upcoming Nexus phone - they have good experience with the software already. I'd expect a leaked firmware within 1-2 months, perhaps 3-4 month for official one?
