will it be locked after update?

I am having Tmobile pulse. I want to update it. I was just wondering, will it be locked once I update the phone?? anyone has any idea?

I bought the phone from UK from Tmobile and I wanted to use different sim. So I unlocked the phone. Thts y I m wondering if it will be locked again if I update to 2.1.
