Root Will MMS still work if I root?

So I have to activate it again since its already activated?

Rooting your phone will not cause any issues at all. If you then go in and mess with/delete the things you needed root access to get to, you can have issues. Rooting is not the same thing as putting a new ROM on your phone.
In either case, Virgin Mobile can't do anything to you because of it, except to claim your warranty with them as void (sometimes they don't even do this, even when told it was rooted). Rooting is not against any rules and is not illegal (there were court cases about this, and we won!). It only voids a warranty because they don't want to have to replace something that you might have messed up yourself.
All that being said, rooting this phone is easy, and very safe. Even if you screw something up, you can get it fixed with much less trouble than most other phones.

MMS is working fine using the stock messaging app in all the custom ROMs we have. There have been some reports that 3rd party messaging apps will interact badly with the 2.3 ROMs, but that isn't always true.

No, you just can't activate it on a 2.3 ROM.
yep everything will still work ok and vm cannot tell if your rooted or not... (unless you call em' and tell them
) so just follow what they said and you should be fine. if you ever have any problems you can send a personal message to one of us too and we will help you out. (saves from extra posting)
