Root will not flash new custom rom

I don't have a link, but flashing is easy.

Boot to recovery.
Backup and restore - - Restore
Wait for it to finish.
Factory reset /Wipe Data - - press yes.
Wipe cache.
Then install from Zip.
Scroll to your rom you would like installed.
Press yes, then wait for it to do.

dont worry about that yet, just see if you can flash the rom ok.

oke but i don't have the time to do that today so it will be tomorrow when i will try to flash it.

it worked. thanks Shauny13 and Tyseyh. having a long wait at bootup after restore, don't know why? first time after flashing only the rom it was quick with the startup. well i'll wait and get it working. after that apn installing again.

he guys,

i have a problem. i was rooting and s-off a desire of a friend and installed the dGB rom. after that i did the update of the hboot but i think it went wrong there. after installing the rom dGB, i flashed the hboot right over it without making a backup of nandroid. now it is stuck on startup with the htc bootscreen and it won't go any further than that. what can i do? i tried to restore with the backup i made after rooting/s-off, but it is still stuck on bootscreen. does any of you know how i can solve this. please help.
