Help Will Not Scan - No Wifi Connection

OK I'm a complete Newbie with android phones.

My Optimus M is 2 months old - and today flat out refuses to scan for networks and shuts off the connect to wifi button. I also noticed it no longer has a MAC address listed. This phone is not rooted.

I am screwed and needing a complete reset ?

I guess I will have to figure out how to backup before doing so..

I have not heard of this happening, but you might try taking the battery out for a while to see if it resets anything. Just a few minutes should be fine, but you could leave it out overnight to be sure. If that does not work, I suggest going to a corporate store to have it looked at since you are under warranty and not rooted.

Thanks - for the suggestion. I left it out for 10 mins to no avail. Maybe leave it out tonight and check in the AM. Otherwise a visit to the Corpy store is my future.
