I can't argue with you there, but that is a Google thing and something we may not see until 2.5 or 3.0.

I didn't really care about live wallpapers themselves, I just took it as a sign that they optimized hardware usage so much that no only can the phone now operate fine, but it can also have some superfluous moving scenes just for the hell of it.
