Help Will Rooting solve my call answer prob?

I have been on the fence about Rooting, but this issue needs to be fixed....

When I receive a call with phone in pocket it will either hang up the call or answer it when I place my hand anywhere on the screen, even for a split second, as I try to pull it out of my pocket.

Have not had any other issues with the phone.
Suggestions please?????

do you have the feature turned on that will silence/ignore calls when you turn the device over?
May be in settings>call settings
that is the only thing i can think of that would do that
Try above first, if you have been looking at rooting then yes your problem may be fixed depending on what rom you want to run.

Rooting may fix some problems and create others, since there always seems to be some issues with each ROM, depending on what you are going to use. Whether or not it will fix what you are describing remains to be seen.

rooting will fix everything.

Not true, sorry.

I didn't have the issue you described before I rooted and I don't know so I can't fully relate. Flashing a rom could fix the issue for you but I do not know how much you are willing to devote to your phone, and no roms are perfect currently so you would be dealing with some other issues. I suggest checking to see if you perhaps have a setting turned on to ignore when the phone is placed face down.

Just to update since this thread is alive again. I have rooted and flashed several ROM'S and have not had the issue happen again with any of them. Must have been some glitch on my stock version.

BTW.... SOOOOO glad I rooted. So easy now with the new method and it has opened up a whole new world for me with this phone. Very cool!

I didn't even notice the date of your OP. Welcome to the true side of Android. Glad you were able to fix your issue as well!
