will the how to root guide work on a virgin mobile samsung galaxy sll?

I have recently purchased an s2 for virgin mobile. I would like to root it as soon as I get it to my house . I would like to know if the guide would work for virgin mobile s2??

I wouldn't advise you to root using the epic touch root guide.

One of 2 things could happen

1) success

2) possible chance you could have an expensive brick
