Will the HTC Rezound fit into the DroidX car dock?

Silly question I know but I am getting a Rezound soon and I have the OEM car mount from my X and I wonder if anyone else has both of these and can confirm. The Rezound and the X are about the same size and the charger port looks to be in roughly the same spot on the side of the phone. Thanks

The location is too far off on the X

Also the micro usb is backwards from what the Rezound is, meaning you would have to have the screen facing the dock for the micro to fit in it, bascially the micro usb port is turned around

I make docks for both these phones so I know their exact locations and micro usb orientations

I suppose I could just remove the plug in the dock and drill a hole and manually stick the charger cable through the hole and into the phone. I wonder if the dock would put my phone into car mode though?

No it would not the moto x uses a magnet for dock mode embedded into the dock ... the Rezound uses circuitry for dock mode its a totally different system.

Judging from the docks you make (checked your website Craig - I like those!) he knows his stuff. You may want to look him up as his are no more expensive than the OEM ones and look much more functional.

BTW: I don't know him from Adam and he's not paying me anything to plug for him.
