Root Will the Spec get 4.1?

Its not f*cking kandy kane... >.< As I said before, purposely misspelling it would be stupid, and make google lose tons of respect/money...

Also, its an LG device. Its not getting 4.1. LG would have to be a better company for that. Just because a company says something doesn't make it true.

Lol the htc Mytouch 4g slide has almost same specs as us but 1.2 dual core and it doesn't get ics. I'm think all companies are crap to be honest you stick with what you got and be happy I love ics on this phone good enough for me :-)

Also yes I was wrong but I could of swore it was before Christmas because I remember looking at the commercial and saying wow that's a ugly phone now look at me I love it =D

Ok it doesn't have to be kandy Kane but it needs to start with a k or they will break the letter sequence e,f,g,h,i,j,k

I just read that Google is going to announce an update (Android 4.2) in their next event on October 29, and release nexus 7.
It is not unheard of from phones getting 2 major updates. When I had gotten my thunderbolt it had froyo, and six months later or so I got Gingerbread. They are waiting on ICS now and have been confirmed they are getting it.

You mean the 32GB version of the Nexus 7? Its been released. Even in stores. Want proof? I took this last night at a store I work for:

Just not announced yet. But what's happening at said event is just pure speculation.

And again, this is an LG device. Not HTC/Motorola. Find me an USA AND Verizon LG device that got 2 Major OS updates.

yeah next time im going with a droid or a samsung for my next device cause they seem to always get updated when they are suppose to

It will be interesting to see if the razr gets it. Vz is still promoting the bajesus out of that phone, so if any device were to get 2 updates, I'd put my money on that one.

Prior to that, no other phone has received 2 major updates.

And we'll said about the fractured android ecosystem... Android stock ROMs are like snowflakes... No two models are the same.

Fascinate: 2.1 > 2.2 > 2.3 :)
OG Droid 2.0 > 2.1 > 2.2

Now that LG will have their Nexus phone, it will be a flagship and you can expect it to be supported just like any other phone that has a brand as prominent as droid or Nexus.

The nice part about it is that it will have the solid hardware design that LG seems to be focused on.

well while you guys are saying phones rarely get 2 major updates others of us have already given examples of that being whats actually going to happen. I told you guys about a press release from motorola that the razr, bionic, and droid 4 will all get jelly bean. This comes directly from motorola. All those phones started with GB. That means they will end up with 2 major updates. It may very well be that the spectrum doesnt get it, but to say "it's absolutely not going to get it because no phone ever gets 2 major updates...or this and that and/or such and such" is pure speculation.

Again, time will tell.
