Will the Stratosphere be global?

Anyone have any idea of the likelihood of the Verizon version of the Galaxy S II (whether it be the Stratosphere or not) being a global phone? I had heard rumors of the Bionic being global but it seems those got crushed pretty recently and this is a deciding factor. Thanks for the help.

Nobody really has any idea. My guess would be no. Verizon only seems to make "enterprise" like devices global (D3, Droid Pro, BBs). But, who knows!

I doubt it will be global, but I just wanted to point out that the Incredible 2 is a global phone :D

I won't repeat what I wrote here: http://androidforums.com/samsung-stratosphere/392349-lte.html#post3059115

But the short is that the MDM9600 chip I speculated there does support all 3G UMTS frequencies.. making it possible for it to be world phone, assuming it does use it.

Until the Qualcomm Krait SOCs are available.. there's really no other way to add LTE connectivity without an additional baseband.. and those chips typically have the 3G UMTS radios included
