Will there ever be a Commando 4G update?

With so many phones (even older ones) getting 4.4. It kind of sucks being left behind. I don't see why they would've implemented the Casio upgrade taskbar thingy on the PC if they weren't gonna release updates. Any rumors?

Considering that the previous Commando is still getting updates (just last month but still on gingerbread) it would be unlikely that we won't. Past practice is a reliable predictor of future performance.

Considering the hardware of this phone, I don't believe that Jellybean or KitKat will be much of an improvement. JB maybe, but KK, probably not.

With the former Commando each update made the phone worse and worse to the point that it was nearly unusable.

This phone came out with much better specs than that phone did at the time. I speak from experience as I bought both as soon as they came out.

My g/f has the rugby pro and it has very similar specs and it works great on jelly bean.

Someone in another thread posted that they were looking at a Commando 4G in a Verizon store, and it had a different release number than the M120 that the phones were delivered with.

Casio pushed an update for the old command which was REALLY late in the game for that series phone. Still good to see a company still supporting its hardware.

My new 4G commando has been pretty damn good once I got a working SIM card and got around going into a coma from sleeping. I am holding off rooting it becasue its working pretty well and I have no major complaints.

The Casio c811 has an OTA update to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 pushed 11/25/13 available.

If you have already rooted your phone the update will not work. You have to revert to original then update
