Will VZ S3 get kit kat?

Just updated here about an hour ago. Not sure what I should be looking for. Seems a bit quicker . Hope the battery life is better, was starting to suck.

Battery life is even worse on 4.4.2, and the notification tray is slower and reponds less.

You did a mistake buddy :/

I think I did make a mistake. Now I can't save, move, or copy anything to or from my external SD card. When I try, I get a message saying that 4.4 is unable to modify contents of sd card due to Google policy. WTF!!?

I'm on Verizon and just updated. Only problem is now I got no color on the battery bar and my wifi doesn't show color either. Just like white. Other than that it seems normal and working fine.

This is my biggest fear! I do all of the above on a daily basis...without the ability to do just that...move, copy and modify the content on my SD card...I am having a hard time imagining using my beloved device! Old school...logical (seems normal to do these things)...or am I just cranky when it comes to adjusting to change? I am not looking forward to this update.

Yeah, me too. Wish I didn't update. Makes my SD card useless. Can't even delete any files from it. Epic fail Google!

Haven't rooted a phone since my Lg Spectrum. Now I'm looking to root my S3 because of this update. Internal memory isn't enough. I need my SD card back!

Good thing I don't use an SD card XD

Hopefully Samsung will bring 4.4.3 to GS3 as they are with galaxy S4 and S5 and Note 3.

It most likely will not get past 4.1.2

Every Galaxy S3 out there with at least 2 GB of ram has Kitkat and all the 1 gig models have 4.3.... lol.

unbeknownst to me, it removed hangouts as the default messaging app, so I didn't get any txt messages until my wife asked why I didn't reply.

so far I can move pictures from the phone to the card without issue.

I can also. Not sure why other people can't

What I don't like is the way you have to activate the GPS. What used to take one step to active (via pulldown toggles) now takes 2 steps.

I swear...everytime google updates something it's a step backwards. My next phone will not be an android phone.
