I will be getting the EVO on release date. Selling the Hero on eBay the week of release. Hopefully I will be able to get at least $200 for it.

I'll get it in October, when my upgrade comes. I see no point in paying such a high price for a phone that doesn't make calls any better than my Hero already does, especially when I could wait a couple more months and get it for far cheaper than you'll pay for it. Not to mention that the major bugs will be worked out by then :P

is sprint going to get it? I read some clipings about it and it did not say anything about sprint... I too would wait a few months and get it cheap like what happened to the Hero after I got it.

Yes, it is coming to Sprint. And I will be waiting until November when my upgrade is available before making a decision. I don't do that much "data intensive" stuff to worry about it now. Plus my house isn't a 4G area yet (although a nearby city is).

I'll be getting rid of my Hero. On Craigslist here people are putting want ads for Heros offering 300 dollars for one in great condition, working and the box and paperwork just to avoid the contract with Sprint.

Im honestly thinking of selling mine now before its not so hot and not making any money off it and if I have to use my old Samsung A900 for a while.

I already sold my hero for 300.00 on ebay and will sell my pre a month before it drops, so I can still get a little money to go towards this phone. I almost wet my pants when I saw it on engadget

by the way sprint is already advertising the phone online. Not there website but flash content on a few sites. Says it will be out this summer.

No 4G coverage in my area. Maybe 4G will be here by Summer, but I doubt it. Also, I got my Hero a few daus early from Best Buy with my rewards club membership. Price dropped dramactically pretty quickly after that. I am up for a renewal in October, so I'll probably wait. Looks hawt though.

Would be nice if Sprint offered a "prototype" trade in plan. Get an early model and if bugs arise, get a cheap upgrade to the "fixed" model. I'll be waiting till i hear that the EVO is as described.

I'll get it when I get my upgrade, perfectly happy with my Hero until then. I will demo it at the store though to see how fast the 4g is though.

I won't be upgrading for a year or so. There may be something else out by then that's even better. No 4G around here as yet.

Now my question is about 4G & this do you have to be in a cover area or will it still work alright in 3G? Cause I would love this phone for it's camera along with it's front facing camera (possibly Skype in the future) and well everthing else that it has.

It would be 4G/3G compatible.

I have a question that I think I'm not going to like the answer to. I just renewed my contract March 3rd and bought the Hero, is there any sort of way to cancel the renewal within the first 30 days or anything? I don't think so, but I figure I ask.

You should have 30 days to return the phone.
