Sure man, I'll take a shot at it. Do you want the dock just like the example you posted - aprox width, height, little indentations on the sides, etc.? And then do the icon just as the ring & triangle on a transparent .png?

Edit: OK - So I was testing out how I'd do these, and I think they come out pretty well, so I'm just posting 'em. Give them a try and let me know how it works out for ya, and whether or not changes are needed.

Right click/long press to save.

Dock only 480x800 ↓

Combo 480x84 ↓ (in case the icon wont line up right in your set-up)

Edit 2: Here's an invisible icon to use if you go with the combo version. It wont show up, so I'll just link to it. ↓

thanks beamy!! that is now my favourite dock :D

I used the second with an invisible icon over the dock as the 2 seperates you did, didn't quite match...the circle icon was too small.

heres a link to my new setup :D

Great to hear, Dean. I can't believe I actually got one right for you on the first try! :D:p;)

Yeah, I was pretty sure they wouldn't match up correctly. Without a phone of that resolution and knowing which program you're using to alter the dock & dock icons, I didn't see any way I could get the circle/triangle to be the right size, and be centered on the dock. But, at least it works the way you're doing it...

My friend - know anywhere where I can find this wallpaper?

blackcheckers.png

Well, I couldn't find that one exactly, so I did my best to recreate it for you. Hope you like it!

Thats awesome! Thanks!
Ques for you:
1) how do U move the button on the dock that takes U to the drawer of where all your apps are - normally its in the middle but is there a way to move it to the far left?

2) why is it that I am seeing ppl with notifications in the dock - I thought notifications did not work on the docks?

You're welcome!

1 - I think you'll need an alternate launcher to do that. I know that Go Launcher ex lets you do that and I think Launcher Pro & ADW Launcher do as well.

2 - That I don't know about. Maybe try asking in the Post Your Desktop thread...

Hey brother!
Got a request for you. Would LOVE to have this theme or even just the wallpaper. Any chance you can use all your magic and all your skills?

http://androidforums.com/android-themes/442573-help-find-these-icons.html#post3437640

Doing the whole theme is a bit much for me to take on, but the wallpaper I can do. Let me know if this is close enough -

Wow - amazed at some of the work done in this thread.

If it's not too much trouble, I'd love a Montreal Canadiens wallpaper that's similar to the original Boston Bruins one in the original post. Black/red theme if possible (I'm on a s-amoled screen, so the darker the wallpaper, the better)

If you can help me out, great :D

Great to hear! I was beginning to wonder if I'd hear from you again (yeah, I know - people are busy this time of year :o...). Thanks for letting me know you like it. Let me know if you have any future requests.

Been delaying this a little bit in case I picked up the Nexus, but I decided to wait a bit to see if it drops with one of VZW's end of the year deals.

If you remember the wintery indoor wallpaper you made me last year, I'm looking for something like that, but with somewhere I can place the SemiSense icons, pic below with the icons used for size reference, and an empty space I could put a clock, which I can provide a screenshot of the clock I plan on using as well if needed, it isn't the one in the icon screenshot though.
Also I'm looking for an wintery outdoor wallpaper for my lockscreen. No real preferences with that, I can pretty much work with anything.

Icon screenshot:

Thanks in advance, and as always, no rush. :P

Ok, so this will be sized for your Eris then?

A few Q's for ya - Is this - winter_Scene_3.jpg - the wallpaper to which you refer? Are the icons in the screenshot SemiSense? Will the icons be placed in the same spaces on the screen? This will probably work best if you give me a screenshot of this background - 640x480 Template - withe the icons, and clock you want to use in the spots you want them.

Indeed it is. I edit the icons into the finished wallpaper and place transparent PNG's over them, so where they go depends mostly on the wallpaper. There isn't any specific place I have to have them.
I can provide you a current screenshot with the icons I'm using at the moment and the previously mentioned clock widget, I'm not sure if that will help much though.

Well, your transparent icons are still going to have adhere to the icon grid layout, right? So I'll need to know where on on the grid they'll be. Otherwise where you press wont be matched up to where the icons are. I think the screenshot you mentioned would help a lot.

Gotcha. I couldn't ever get them exactly on the icons with this particular wallpaper, so I just settled for around the areas on the grid screenshot, and got used to pressing there. Even if I tapped the icon on the wallpaper I normally at least hit the corner of the actual icon, so it worked out fine.

Let me know if the images aren't working.

OK, got it. Pics are fine. For the idea I currently have, I was thinking about doing the 4 icons all in one horizontal row, say where the lower ones are in your first screen shot. Would that work for you? If so, can I get a screenie of the icons arranged like that on the grid wallpaper as well?

I'm kinda busy ATM with pre-xmas stuff, but I'll try to get something done in the next day or two.

No rush. I've been a bit busy myself, I'm not even out of school for Christmas yet because of the school board's "genius decision".

Would any of you kind people be able te resize this pic for my goodself? or maybe instruct me on dimensions and how to do such a thing? Currently its too big on my S2 screen. I want to have it as my home screen...single screen but the sofa is too big.

Many thanks in advance.

Sure, I'll see what I can do for you. So, you're saying you run a sigle screen, non-scrolling wallpaper set-up?

@ Toasty -

Funny I just got that request right after yours - I had something very similar in mind when I was planning out yours...

Anyway, see if this is in the right vein at least. Not sure it's done yet, but I don't know what else it might need either, and I do kinda like the minimal look. Any ideas?

I made this one larger than necessary (1066x800), but still in the proper aspect ratio, so that it can be used on higher resolution phones as well as yours.

Do you think you could get me this wallaper please? (resolution for HTC Sensation) ^^

http://img.ibtimes.com/www/data/images/full/2011/12/07/201650-galaxy-nexus.jpg

Yes, just the static version of the image just like in the picture. I would rather not go use the live version XD
Thanks a bunch of you can!

From what I can tell after looking around some, that shot is from a Nexus live wallpaper, and there is no stock static version, right? If so, I'll have to take a try at recreating it. I need to know whether the Sensation takes a 1080x960 (this is what I think it should be...), or 540x960 wallpaper.

Get back to me, and I'll try to get to it tomorrow.

That is correct, since we cannot set the middle screen as default on stock roms! otherwise this pic wouldnt be such a problem! Once done could I ask how you do this please? lol :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for how I did this... I started out by opening this handy-dandy 480x800_wallpaper_template.png, the same resolution of your phone's screen. Next, I opened the pic you posted and re-sized it (maintaining the aspect ratio to avoid unwanted stretching in one direction or the other) until the sofa would fit entirely on the template, then pasted that as a new layer over the template. Now this left the image too short to fill the whole 800 pix height, so I lowered the new pasted layer to the bottom, leaving all the space to be filled at the top. To do that, I just copied part of the wallpaper background, pasted as a new layer and moved it up to fill the empty space making sure to carefully match the patten. This last step I repeated until the top space was filled. Then just save as a .png or .jpg and you're done! Good luck!

If I was unclear (highly likely! :o), or you have any other questions ask away, and I'll do my best to answer.
