Help Windows 7 PC not recognizing LG G3 Android 5.0.1

Recently, I found my PC not recognizing my LG G3 phone. I don't have this issue before and other USB devices work just fine with my PC.
I'm not sure what cause this issue and I hope some body can help.

However; after I updated the driver, my PC can see the phone, but not the files stored in the phone and the SD card. It shows 0 items.

After connecting the phone, if changing the USB PC Connection type to Media device (MTP) doesn't work, try installing LG PC Suite...

You should then have the option of selecting MTP as the connection type.

I switched to a new USB cable and the issue is basically resolved.
