Help windows does not recognize usb galaxy s2

argh! solved. 2 out of the 3 USB ports on this POS laptop seem to be broken (even though they allow the device to charge)

i've tried everything i found in the other threads. please help!

i've tried usb debug mode, non dbug mode. i've installed kies, although it was VERY hard to find from the samsung site.

windows just acts like nothing is plugged in. phone DOES charge.

You need to download the drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S2... Which is bundled with KIES. This is Samsung's proprietary SYNCing software that SYNCs you new Galaxy S2 to the PC or Apple.

What's new for Software & Manual SAMSUNG

Once installed, your computer (Windows or MAC) will then be able to recognize the Galaxy S2.

Hello: guys I was looking for a post like this one I also downlaoded the drivers from thr Samsung pagr but nothing seems to work when I open KIES it just doesn't recognize my GL S 2 what else can I do thanks for any input.

First thing to do is try a different cable. Samsung Phones tend to be VERY fussy when it comes to USB cables.
