Help Windows Live Mail To Note II?

Total noob question! I have been using Windows Live Mail as an emil client on my PC for years. I think I am ready to move everything to my phone but I don't know where to start. Obviously I know how to setup email on my Note II, what I don't know is how to transfer all my folders and old email. I literally have years worth of business and personal emails from 3 different accounts that need to be transferred. Where is the best place to start? Thanks!!

just set it up as normal and the folders will all appear when you enable which ones to show up

^ this or there is a hotmail app you can download from the google app store. I used that for a bit but since Live/Hotmail isn't my main email account (I use Google) I deleted it

Im not sure you guys get what I am saying. I am using Windows Live Mail (the program) as an email client for several email accounts. None of which are a hotmail account. I am simply using the program like you would outlook. Make sense? So, I dont think I can use the hotmail app or just set it up and they would appear. That would suggest that the mail and folders are stored online somewhere and they are not. They are downloaded to my pc. Any other thoughts?

Who is your email provider (ISP, Work, webmail, your own domain?) and do you know if they are POP3, IMAP, or Exchange (guessing Windows Live Mail probably doesn't support Exchange protocol). If these are POP3 accounts and you haven't set it up to keep the email on the server than I'm not sure what options you have. There might be some kind of tool that will allow you to migrate over mail and folders to your smartphone, but that would take some searching.

If it is IMAP then I think folders and email should show up on any device that connects to the account, because those are stored on a server somewhere (at least typically, although I think different clients handle IMAP in different ways). If you plan on to continue using email on both your PC and on your smartphone and you aren't currently using the IMAP protocol, you should look into it for the future, because it should make managing email on multiple devices much easier.

I also use Live Mail app to manage multiple accounts, including Gmail. You should be able to synch messages on PC, back to the server, so that once configured in the phone, the phone will import them from the server. However the phone will only synch 50-200 at a time, manually, with the native email client... At least with the POP3 accts.
