Root WIP - Downgrading HBOOT

I'm pretty familiar with Linux and I've been googling ideas all night. I'm going to backup the Stock recovery with dd and backup hboot with fastboot. Apparently you can stick HBOOT in a zip file, rename it PG59IMG.zip and the phone will ask for an HBOOT 'update' when really, we'll be downgrading it. I already unlocked my bootloader successfully. I'll report back with whatever I find!

Anybody brave enough to try this? Apparently "superboot" can root any device. These files specifically are for ICS 4.0.3. All you do is boot into fastboot, go into the folder and run the bat. Honestly, I'm afraid to myself as I don't have any backups and my nearest radioshack where I got it is an hour away. Lol

Edit: LINK REMOVED

I've been looking at those zips for the wfs and there is a little trick to it they contain a file called android info and if the modelid in that file and more important the Cid carrier id don't match they wont flash the files. Believe me its been a mother of a problem for me to get my wife's wfs rooted for some reason my drivers are messed up and i was working on a work around. But with out time to work it out that's all i know.

Also you need to format the card to fat32

DO NOT TRY THAT UNIVERSAL TOOL. It is not meant for eMMC devices. Only for MTD devices.

Also, the ONLY 2 options to unlock is htc unlock or s-off via unlimited.io. Revolutionary will not work.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DOWNGRADE either........
