Root wipe battery status

when you wipe battery status and wipe dalvik cache what are the steps prior to doing so. For example: does the battery need to be fully charged or do i need to do anything special.

Dalvik can be wiped at any time (though I'm not sure why you'd want to). Battery stats should be wiped on a fully charged battery, preferably while still plugged in.

Well im looking to get better battery life and in another forum i saw that you should wipe dalvik as well.

My tips:

Overclock with ULV,
set battery mode to Max battery saver,
use wifi when it's available, o/w turn it off (I use Y5 to manage that),
turn off bluetooth when not needed,
if using launcher pro or similar launcher, use home switcher to go into Blur and delete all the widgets off your screens.
