Wipe Entire Phone

Lurker
I have a friend that's selling their Samsung Galaxy S (Verizon) and I'm going to wipe it before they ship it. I've wiped the SD card and the phone from the factory reset option but it still has the phone number listed in the phone. Is that not a big deal to have it there? I can't even see how to erase it? I was hoping a factory reset would take it back when the phone number and carrier information was entered. Is that possible?

I think the phone requests it from the carrier immediately once it connects to the network. And since that phone is still technically on that number, that's the number it will get until its reactivated on a different account. So really there is no way around it unfortunately unless you could take it to Verizon and have them clear it.

you have to deactivate the phone with verizon

Yep, there isn't anyother way. And after that, all that needs to be done is to do a full wipe and flash the stock EH03 GB ROM, and it'll be like new, minus the hardware conditions.
