Root wipeing my sd card...

Are you sure you want to do that? Usually apps keep alot of important files in there ... I would go delete specific files that I dont need.

no way really for sure to tell unless we knew what apps you have installed because like bryonium said apps keep alot of information on the sd card. but i would say right off hand dont delete downloads, dcim, or extracted, or if you use a ringtone app like zedge dont delete that folder (zedge uses the folder zedge)

But also if you deleted apps the folders will still be their. And also need to know what apps you have installed. And it would be easier to have a entire list of what is on your SD card

I would definitely recommend going one by one and getting an idea of what the folder or file belongs to. Do a complete backup of it to your PC to be safe. I personally copy the entire SD card except music and video files to my Dropbox.

After a few days as I do the backups I begin to notice which files and folders have the oldest "Modified" date and from that I can tell it hasn't been copied or written over in a while so I begin deleting those old ones first.
