Root Wired Tether for Froyo

I really want to use a Froyo Rom, right not I'm looking at KaosFroyo and Nonsensikal, but I'm not sure how to get Wired Tether to work. I'm running xtrROM right now and It works fine, but every time i flash KaosFroyo, I try to run Wired Tether, and no luck.

Can someone walk me through how to run Wired Tether on a 2.2 ROM?

plug phone into computer> turn on wired tether> browse the internet...

lol i dont really know what to tell you. im running Kaos and thats how i do it.

Tried that. Which version are you using? I cant even get my phone to sync with my computer, only charge and mount as a usb.

I thought Froyo was having problems with the Wired Tether app? Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Is that all froyo ROMS? or just kaos?

Its not a froyo issue. I use wired tether with froyo all the time. Make sure you are using the latest version of Wired Tether(i think it's 1.4). It included a fix needed to work with our phones.
