Wirefly Customer Service -- We're here to help.

Just talked to a rep from the activation department number (1-888-843-24850). He notified me the team would contact me within 12-Hours to resolve the issue of transferring the upgradable phone (FROM THE SAME FAMILY ACCOUNT) to my phone. It should not be that difficult as verizon can do it over the phone. I'm crossing my fingers this isn't another horror story from Wirefly.

I checked my Verizon account tonight, and the DInc is now under the correct number. Even the data package is correct. I will activate it tomorrow after making sure I'm not going to get charged extra for something. I will post back for an update.

DInc is activated and there are no extra charges on my cc bill. It was a process, but after some calls, emails and PM's it worked out. It did take time and patience, but was worth it to save the money on the phone. Thanks Wirefly

Hello everyone,
At Wirefly every employee is committed to creating a better way to shop for cell phones, so keep the questions coming. We appreciate your feedback.

We often get asked the question, "Why are your phones so cheap?". One reason that our costs are low is because we don't run thousands of retail stores in malls and shopping centers. The Wirefly team processes every order from our Maryland operations center, giving us a huge cost advantage when compared to brick and mortar retail stores.
Click this link for an inside look at some pictures of our Maryland Distribution Center posted on our Facebook page www.wirefly.com/facebook: Wirefly Distribution Center | Facebook.

I received my EPIC 4G from wirefly yesterday. Now it's been two days since I've had the phone and it still has not been activated yet. FYI - I had requested porting my number from AT&T to SPRINT. When I call your customer service they seem to have no idea about what's going on. Please let me know if I can track activation or how to expedite the process.

Hi, if you will please call us at 866-852-3216, one of our senior customer service agents can assist you with completing your activation. If email is easier, please send us an email with your order number to oninesupport@wirefly.com and we will gladly get one of our activations managers to complete the activation. Let us know if you have any other questions.

I called them and the customer service agent promised me that the phone will get activated by end of day today. What concerns me is why the customer needs to follow up through so many venues ( calls, forums ) etc before they are able to get through to the service agents who can actually help. I mean I could not even find that number that you gave me on your website.

I'm seriously hoping that the phone gets activated by 6PM EST today as promised or else I'm returning everything and cancelling my contract. The 50 bucks I save through Wirefly is not worth anymore activation issues.

Hi Wirefly!

I'm considering using wirefly to extend my contract (which is up shortly) and upgrade both my phone and my wifes phone to the samsung fascinate.

When I go through the website and choose to upgrade/extedn existing line, it give me a price of $99.99 for the phone. I assume that's because I'm the primary line on the account. I can then bump the number of phones up to two but the price of the 2nd phone still reflects $99.99 (this would be for my wife). Is this true pricing? Will these really end up being $200 total? I was under the impression that mine would be $100 and hers $150 totaling $250? Is this true?

Verizon in-store quoted me $350 for both phones. I'd be willing to gamble on ordering from wirefly for $100 savings...

wirefly,

i have a sprint account..
my sister is a sprint employee and my account is with her employee discount.

do you have a solution for sprint employee discount accounts to purchase phones on our upgrade?

Whats the difference with going through you or just Verizon other than getting the phone cheaper?

We have a great relationship with every major U.S. carrier. They know that Wirefly brings them high-quality customers, and we save them time and money by handling the sales and activation process for their accounts, and by bringing them customers that might not have a retail store nearby.

Our costs are low because we don't run thousands of retail stores in malls and shopping centers. The Wirefly team processes every order from our Maryland operations center, giving us a huge cost advantage when compared to bricks and mortar retail stores.

You get exactly the same device as the carrier retail store, the carrier gets a good customer, and Wirefly gets paid by the carrier.

Hey! Our offers change frequently, but if you select renew/upgrade my contract and then select family plan - primary line and then select 2 phones as the number of phones on your order , you can get the Fascinate for $99.99 a lineright now. I can't promise how long this offer will last, so I would say it is only good through COB today. It's a great deal and an amazing phone! Let us know if there is anything else that we can do to be of assistance!

I have checked with our activations manager, and unfortunately at this time we have no way to process upgrade orders for Sprint Employee accounts. I am sorry, but please keep us in mind for future wireless purchases. They might change the rules. :-)

ok..
I knew it... but had to ask!

Hello Kim,

There is a possibility that I will be upgrading my daughter's smartphone under her NE2. It is between the Incredible, Dx and Fascinate. I have only purchased through VZW to date, so I have two questions at this point:

1) Is there any special pricing on these -and-
2) Is there any kind of worry free guarantee with it?

Thank you.
Steven

Hi Steven,

While we dont honor the NE2 offer from VZW - it is limited to them specifically and not authorized dealers, we do have great prices on all 3 phones and are usually up to $100 cheaper than VZW is. October is also Wirefly's anniversary month, and to celebrate we are offering up new deals every 48 hours all month long. They are usually posted on our FB page first, so if you become a fan you will have access to all of the offers we have.

As for our guarantee, please check out our satisfaction guarantee. It states: At Wirefly, we are committed to your total satisfaction. So we created the Wirefly Satisfaction Guarantee, to help take the stress out of choosing the right cell phone. Order any cell phone, PDA/Smartphone, or wireless PC card with a wireless service plan. If you don't like it, we'll swap it for another model OR refund 100% of your purchase price (excluding shipping and processing fees). More information can be found on our website at: http://www.wirefly.com/about/guarantee

Let me know if there is anything else that I can assist with. :-)

Ty, Kim. I'll look. I am a FB fan already. :D

I have a bunch of questions. I've only bought phones directly from VZW and have always had an easy time exchanging "buggy" phones at the store. If there's a problem with a Wirefly phone, is it exchanged through Wirefly or can I bring it into the store to exchange it? I will need insurance on the phone, but I see that it is not available in the state of WA, so would I be able to get it through Verizon's Asurion?

Also, if I decide I don't like my phone (Incredible) and decide to return it for a Fascinate, will there be restocking and shipping fees and would I pay the price difference of retail value or current price? For example, if I buy the DINC on sale ($49.99) and the price of the Fascinate (which is $99.99 right now) goes up to $199.99, would I pay the extra $150 or just the $50 more in retail value? I hope that made sense.

Now, here's the tricky question. My dh's name is the primary on the account, but my phone is the primary line. I would like to get my own account and get a separate line away from the family plan (I basically want to have two separate lines), but I want to keep my number. Would I still be able to get a new contract through WF or is that something I have to go through VZW for?

And yet one more question... I have an employee discount for my calling plan. If I go through you, am I still eligible for the 17% discount? I'm just trying to figure out if I can go through you and still keep everything I had before including discounts and changing calling plans/data plans, etc. I heard that if you downgrade your service to a less expensive plan, you get charged a fee. Is that true? If so, then I assume that you are not only selling the phone, but also the line of service, even in the case of an upgrade.

Sorry for all the questions. I'm just wanting to be thoroughly informed before entering a new contract.

Thanks!

Wirefly:

Thanks for your presence here and your obvious desire to help. It has made me a customer.

A couple of things:

1. The link above to the Wirefly guarantee is broken: 404 file not found.

2. I really have many of the same questions as Triska, above. Can you address them when you have time?

3. I have just received my confirm for 2 Droid 2's being sent to me ($39.99 ea.) and see that today the Droid 2 is shipping for free on your site. Should I:

A. Wait to receive, send back and reorder?

B. Call and cancel and then reorder?

C. All of the above?

Thanks and happy Halloween.

David

Hi Triska,
I am sorry for the delay in responding. Here are the answers to your questions:

1) Exchanges: We have a satisfaction gaurantee for the first 30 days, that will cover exchanges. "to help take the stress out of choosing the right cell phone. Order any cell phone, PDA/Smartphone, or wireless PC card with a wireless service plan. If you don't like it, we'll swap it for another model OR refund 100% of your purchase price (excluding shipping and processing fees)." The link to the site is: http://www.wirefly.com/about/guarantee

2) Insurance: You can either add the insurance we offer through MDPA or Verizon's insurance offered through Assurion within the first 30 days from purchase.

3) Upgrading your exisiting number on the plan is not a problem as the account is set up currently. We can certainly help you with that.

4) Employee Discount: If you receive a discount, it will not be affected if you choose us to upgrade your phone. If you do not currently receive a discount but would like to add one, order your phone and contact the carrier to apply it to the account once you have received your phone from us.

Please let us know if you have any more questions that we can assist you with.

Hello Wirefly! Thanks for the opportunity to engage us with answers. I have 2 questions that I have seen asked elsewhere, but nobody knows the answer...

1. When purchasing an Evo 4g or other phones, are all your phones "new" and not refurbs?

2. Also, I see the Evo 4g is now shipping from Sprint with hardware vers 4. I am about to purchase an Evo and of course would prefer vers 4. Do you folks ship the latest vers as does Sprint?

Thanks again!

Scott
