Help Wirefly Question

Ok I upgraded my T-Mobile number through Wirefly and got a G2X. (it is in the process of activation as i speak). My question is after it has been activated, can I use the SIM with another (unlocked) phone (especially during emergency situations) and will it void the Instant Savings Discount?


Also, If I want to unlock the phone (since I will doing international travel), should I contact T-Mobile or Wirefly and will this also void the Discount?

You would not actually be able to switch your SIM card into another device as this would go against our terms of the Instant Savings Discount. For the minimum period of 181 days (6 months) you agree to no transfer the equipment to another line of service or assign our equipment another wireless number, even if this is just temporary. Also, unlocking your device would void your manufacturer's warranty, we do not provide any assistance in having that done to a device.

No, i'm not talking about using my G2X with a new phone line. What I'm asking for is that Can I use the phone line that I activated the Wirefly equipment with on another device? In other words, can I transfer the SIM (not switch) to another nonG2x device?

No, you would not be able to do this. Transferring your SIM card from the G2X to another device is still temporarily putting the wireless number that was specifically assigned to the G2X onto another device. This would still breach our terms and conditions.

WOW ok good to know you made that SO CLEAR in the aggreement. I mean the wording is just dead on.

Yah I'm returning my phone. Absurd requirement (i'm not even downgrading the type of service for god's sakes). Also, I'm making sure I warn my friends.
