hello im new to this lol and earlier i read about wirefly and the lg esteem for a cheaper price, and i was wondering, when you recieve your phone would you need to take it to, in this case, metropcs? or how do you go about getting service?
 
has anyone successfully purchased the lg esteem from wirefly? i just placed an order on wirefly last night, but haven't found one person that said they bought it off their site and has successfully received it.. so i'm starting to freak out a bit lol so if anyone has please let me know.. thanks

I placed an order for the phone last Monday Oct 31 online (delivery address must be same as MetroPcs account for the phone), paid $7.99 for two days delivery and got the phone on Thursday Nov 03. FedEx left it at the from door around 02:30 PM, I got home around 07:30 PM and took it in. I am happy now.

Depends on how the delivery option was checked and sometimes users choosing speedy delivery can add comments. like: "don't leave out side, I can pick it up at the fedex office" or "Must sign for delivery, otherwise keep at the fedex office". etc.

Yeah got mine for $260 from them and standard shipping. Ordered it early October and got it in four days (Awesome service). Even found a coupon (Google it) and got a 4gb micro sd card thrown into the deal. Got my unboxing on youtube if you wanna check it out. I am so happy I didn't buy it from Metro for $400+ (Had to switch from Indulge and all that). *228 didn't work for me so I gave them a call and it was easily switched over for me. Also, I live in NYC and would it be better if I upgraded my PRL to 3025? Thanks :cool:
 
I just ordered it from wirefly today.. came to around 261 and change with 2 day shipping / insurance and no taxes.. definately beats metro and 349 plus tax then the wait for the rebate.. Woot! Goodbye Ascend, hello Esteem..

Congrats bro, welcome to the esteem world, i know once you get it you will be in love. And i know once you mess with it and you try your ascend out again you will notice how laggy and slow it really is and even the screen size, than you will ask yourself, how did i ever manage to stick with that phone for that long. ;):):D

Thanks man.. And Oh I'm sure of it.. Been drooling over it since its release.. And this is probably a dumb question, but ordering through them I couldnt use the Metro rebate too could I? I assume its like trying to use a Walmart rebate at Kmart :D Still may try and sneak it by them lol And well damn, stupid fine print of the rebate lol.. Must be Metro PCS store or dealer store.. So well there is the answer if anyone else has that bright idea lol

yep it have to be bought from the store, would have been nice to send in the rebate also from buying from another site.
 
The Ascenders are invading this mofo! Ahaha I actually "used" my Ascend earlier just picking it up I was like what the hell? How the hell did I use this POS for 5 months?! Ahaha

Yeah we are lol.. I had mine since april.. first android.. within a few days I turned into a flashing fool.. been stalking the esteem forums since launch day.. can't wait to see what we can make this one do.. Good to see familiar faces so to speak.. hopefully it turns into a great community like the ascend forums..
 
well you all know me the android holic that collects androids, lol when i had my evo 4g a week prior to the ascend coming out, i had to get it lol but when my evo 3d hit the market i put down my 4g, but i still kept them all and test everything i can to brick these phones so i can fix em. but my little daughter and wife has my evo 3d's and i just kept both of my esteems but my nephew has the other one. I got just about everyone in my family hooked on androids now, even my GRANNY, thats right grandma is droid crazy, lmao
 
So what you are saying is we'll not only see you on a special episode of A&E's Intervention but the whole Nuttmeg family? Ahahahaha

i heard it suppose to go down in december, but i never listen to he say/she say, so its not confirm but if it does i will post a thread about it.;)
