Wireless Alerting System

Just received the M110 update. I understand a new feature is supposed to be the 'Wireless Alerting System'. Is that the same thing as 'Wireless Emergency Alerts'? If so, why isn't there a new WEA application on my phone to set preferences for these alerts?

See, if the guy at the beginning of MI: Ghost Protocol hadn't been checking his phone for the emergency alert, he would have seen that chick was going to kill him....

What's the point of the WEA anyway?

Did the update fix anything, or just add crap?

My phone *seems* to have less stutter and lag, but I've only been running it a few hours. The WEA is part of the PLAN plan from FEMA - Personal Localized Alerting Network: FEMA: Personal Localized Alerting Network. Going forward any smartphone you buy from Verizon (or Sprint, ATT & T-Mobile) is going to have it so there's no point in bitching about it.

Look in your app drawer, it is a white triangle with a red boarder and black exclaimation mark. It is between Email & Flash Player settings.
