Wireless Charging in the Car

found this video and thought it was intereting.

not feeling his idea with the magnets, but the plate does say 12V input and so i'm going to try to wire this in so i can charge my DNA in the car by simply placing it on the plate in my center console or glove box. i'll have to design/fabricate a trim ring to hold everything in place while driving, but still an interesting idea.....

Wireless charging just seems like a terrible idea to me. Wireless charging creates heat, and heat is the enemy of Li-ion batteries, shortening their lifespan considerably. Since the battery in the DNA is non-removable, doing anything that shortens its lifespan seems like a really bad idea.

Just my $.02.
