Wireless Charging Kit for N7100?

Hi guys! Do any of you use a wireless charging kit for your Note 2? I'm thinking of getting one for myself but the number of brands/products is simply astounding.
Would also like to know if the international version is qi-capable out of the box?

I remember reading about some people trying these, and they didn't work for the Note 2. In particular, the Verizon Note 2 involved soldering the wireless connectors inside the phone (I guess the don't come connected?).
I looked into this a little bit, but became less interested when I found out the charge times - these wireless kits charge really really slow.

Yeah, people use them mostly for overnight charging. I want to get one to save the wear and tear on the usb port.

wyndslash has the N7100, so those kits should work fine for her because the wireless charging prongs are exposed on the N7100.

You just need to get the Qi connector for wireless charging and a Qi charging base.
Before I sold my international Note 2, I was considering buying the S4 wireless charging base w/ my 50% off coupon. There have been some good deals on other brands of wireless charging bases on the internet.
Thing is, it is a much slower charging process.

i think charge times are almost doubled, but i recently had to buy a new charger kit because the microusb of the cord was already loose, and i noticed lately that my usb port is also becoming loose, despite careful plugging in and out.

That should work for your phone. I see that it has the Qi connector that you'd basically place on the metal connectors, prior to placing the battery cover on. I just can't comment on reliability.

i know. i've been spending a few days researching, and there are tons of those wireless chargers. the branded ones are really expensive though (but the zens charger is sleek). i saw someone on the AC forums mention the one i posted; that's how i decided to just get that. it's affordable and seems to work.

I think it's worth the risk. If u were in the US, I'd say check ben's outlet. They had the Nokia wireless charger for 19.99, but of course, you'd stil have to spend on the qi connector.

yeah, I thought it charged at like, less than 1 amp? Which is ridiculous. I guess that's fine if you keep it on there while you sleep, but that will take eternity to charge.

Do you know what their starting point was, as far as % is concerned? 3.5 hours doesn't seem too bad if you're going somewhere.
I realized recently how fast the Note 2 charges on a 2.1amp charger, when I went to charge my phone before leaving for work. 1 hour of charging went from 15% to 70%! Couldn't believe it (I rarely use the charger on my phone, since I have multiple replacement batteries). And what's even better is I have a Phillips Android nightstand clock/speaker dock that charges at 2.1amp also (didn't even realize, until I used it recently and it was charging really fast).
Nontheless, getting back to the main point, I can see where wireless charging can be really convenient and ultimately, it just adds options for charging, but doesn't have to be the "main" form of charging.

yeah man, 2.1 amp charging is noticably faster. Try charging in your car on a 1 amp - it'll take forever to fully charge. I actualy think (but haven't proven) that one amp might be barely enough to keep you neutral if you're running a ton of stuff on your phone while charging at 1 amp. I drove for a couple hours last weekend and had Waze on (using GPS), while streaming music - with the screen on the entire ride - the battery level didn't move at all.

Strange becuase I have a 4.2amp (2.1 per port) charger in my car. It's still not as fast. I've just been resigned to believing that there's no "true" 4.2amp car chargers in the market.
But yes, 1 amp charger while using the phone, will just keep the Note 2 idle. That's why, part of me believes that my car charger is somewhere in between a 1-2.1 amp per port charger. I just don't know the exact #.

Yeah I agree - the car charger arena is strange and I'm not sure what to believe. I bought one that was supposedly 3.1 amps with two USB outlets: 1 at 1 amp, and the other at 2.1 amps. You'd think "ok, use the 2.1 amp outlet", but I've tried both and the charge rate doesn't seem to differ between the two. It should be easy to discern - one should be twice as fast as the other!

I don't think anything above 2.1 exists, to my knowledge. If a charger is labeled as a 3.1 or 4.2, it usually is a dual port (e.g. 2 usb output ports) charger, which splits the amps either 2.1/1 or 2.1/2.1.

Yup...LOL. I bought a cheap ebay one and then a Scosche. The Scosche does seem to be more "true" as a faster charger, but in comparison to home charger, there's no way each port is 2.1...hahaha. It might be somewhere below 2.1, but above 1, which is totally fine, while out on the road.
