Help Wireless networks

In my area there's an open wifi network through BT it isn't free but shows up often on my desire.

Yesterday my phone was using BT s wifi and hadn't connected to my own network. I often tell my phone to forget the BT network but it's always there under wifi management.

Does anyone have ideas as to how I can remove the BT network?

The forget option doesn't work by the way

It will always appear. Forget means that the phone will not automatically connect to the network, but it will always show up as a choice.

Hi and thanks for replying. However my phone has often connected to this open network even just now before logging onto here

If you head to Settings -> Wireless and Networks -> Wifi Settings -> Network Notification (uncheck), that should stop it automatically connecting to open networks (worked for me anyway).

Nope, still not working, have a feeling that the only way would be to reset the phone, just don't really want to, as I've customised it.

Im not sure if this is too late, but my phone was doing this when I had installed the vodafone application to it. It has some dumb setting within it to check & connect to BT Openzone networks, even if u disable it, it still randomly connects...
