Wireless testher

Is there a working wireless teather app for the note 2? The ones i used does not work with it. I cant find any info on it.

why not just use the stock mobile WiFi hotspot function?

I've been thinking about that. If we turn it on, does AT&T know we are tethering, and will they charge us?

I didn't use the Wifi hotspot on my old Evo very often. It's just handy to have.

I don't think it would work even if you turned it on if you haven't paid for the service.

Yea mine says it cant enable data network since i dont pay for it.. but with my evo I rooted it and use software called wifi teather and since i rarely used more than 100meg a month just to check email on my laptop with it when im mobile sprint really didn't give a shit. Now since i got the GN2 there's not a app out now that works with Android 4.1.1 even when rooted I cant get any of the wifi teather apps to work.

Sprint's GN2 does not have it.

 That's crazy. So when you go into settings --> More settings, you do not have "Tethering and portable hotspot"? If not you can always use FoxFi but keep in mind if you do not have a tethering plan, they may automatically change your data plan to one that allows tethering and charge you for it without warning.
