Root Wireless tether acting strange

So after i rebooted my evo today I was prompted to update a "binary" or something. I'm guessing it has to do with super user. Well now my wireless tether app won't stop running unless I force close the app. Anyone else having this issue?

what rom are you running?
I haven't had this happen to me...
I suppose you could remove wireless tether from the SU app, that way it won't get SU permissions, and won't be able to run (properly).

Stock rom, if it doesn't have superuser permission then how could it work in the first place? Maybe I'm not understanding something

so did you update your superuser? if so people have been having issues with it. if not then check the superuser app may have not allow the app access.check and see if the app is listed in superuser.

Yes, i did unknowingly update superuser. Wireless tether does turn on so it does work technically but won't turn off the traditional way insider the app.

Also setCPU won't work at all.

I made it worse, i downloaded a "fix" in the market made by the same developer. Now my wireless tether doesn't work at all. I don't know what the dalvik cache is

if you go into your recovery select advanced the select wipe dalvik cache and on the main menu select cache. that usually takes care of any errors or glitches.

I really appreciate your help. I figured it out through trial and error. I uninstalled superuser and then reinstalled it. Works now!!! Annoying but i'm relieved :D

nice! glad you figured it out on your own.

and just an fyi, if you have any issues, errors, or bugs, try wiping dalvik cache and cache first. it usually fixes most issues.
