Root Wireless Tether App - Won't connect!

Hey all,

I just installed Wireless Tether App. I set up the SSID/password and have gotten my laptop to recognize the connection. For some odd reason or another, I can't seem to connect to it. I've set the encryption setup method to "auto" and I've tried switching channels with no luck. The funny part is the signal shows up as a triangle of 3 computers and not a desktop.


Any tips on what to do?

I was under the impression this feature had been disabled by Virgin Mobile. But by no means is that a definitive answer.

If so, wouldn't the fact that I rooted my phonr render that fact irrelevant anyway? I can USB tether only after rebooting my phone but find that having to do that and carry my cable inconvenient.

If they were to limit the tethering capabilities Intercept to cut costs, wouldn't they just make it so it can't transmit a signal anyway?

I've used Barnacle for flawless wi-fi tethering when I was rooted and now use EasyTether for wired tethering as I'm unrooted now. Tethering definitely works.

in settings pic samsung epic 4g works great with hotspot so its not stuck on adhoc mode.
