Root Wireless Tether Bluetooth Mode - PC can't set up PAN connection?

I have Wireless Tether installed on my rooted EVO, and it works great over wifi. I'm trying to set up bluetooth tethering as well though, for my desktop computer, which does not have a wifi card. Configuration on the phone is no problem, but I'm running into a dead end on the PC side.

My PC is running Windows XP Pro x64 SP2, and I have a TrendNet TBW-105UB USB Bluetooth adaptor installed, currently running the latest widcomm drivers from here: Broadcom.com - Bluetooth Software Download

From the info that I've found, I have to join a PAN with the PC, which should look something like this:

Well, my drivers apparently don't support that profile, and I can't seem to find any that do. I know my hardware supports the PAN profile, but getting the software the recognize it is being a pain. I have heard that the generic bluetooth drivers built into windows support it, but now that I've installed the widcomm drivers, I can't get it to use the generic.

I know this isn't really an issue with the phone or the tethering app, but I'm hoping someone here has dealt with this before and can point me in the right direction. Is there another bluetooth driver stack I can try that does support PAN?

Don't know but another angle would be to get a usb wifi dongle with drivers and do it that way. I would imagine this to be very cheap at a place like Fry's....if you have those in your neck of the woods.
