Root wireless tether help

Forgive me if this is posted somewhere else, but if it is, I couldn't find it! Lol. I am running FA19 gingerbread with CTMod 3.6. I downloaded wireless tether for root users from the market, but I can't get anything to connect. When I restart the app, I get a message saying check log, which in turn tells me that the wifi drivers failed to install. Does anyone k know how to make this work?
 
there is a thread that Necrotoxin made a ways back..he had alot of info about tethering and such..search down for his thread..i think it may have popped back up not long ago as well so i would start there

you could always try using the "Wifi beta apps" always worked like a charm for me... I'm not 100% sure that it will work because i'm on CM7 but its worth a shot...

Thats the one that I currently use...

if you use it go into the settings then change the DEVICE TO SAMSUNG INDULGE and change SETUP METHOD to SOFTAP FOR MASTER.... hope this helps...
 
I'm not going to post any links or anything cuz I don't want to break the rules, but there's a ROM out there called AreaROM. Thing is, it's for the Precedent, not the Prevail. But it doesn't matter cuz it worked like a charm for me:) Now, since you're on FA 19 I'm not sure what will happen... (pm me if you're interested)

Yes it does, the majority of ROMs here do.

However the easiest way ofc would be to just follow the guide I wrote here: Wireless Tether in Infrastructure Mode - Android Forums

One way or another you're going to have to configure the tethering app. I haven't personally tried Honeybread but I'm sure it's a great rom. I've recently been bouncing between CM9 and CTMod. Anyway best of luck to you and if you need any help with setting up Wifi Tether 3.1 Beta <Current Version> feel free to PM me.

yeah. now that you mention it they all have the same requirements and flash the same way. the dummies guide by a dummy works for all of the custom roms. it just specifies ctmod.

Yep just set the device profile to samsung galaxy indulge and the setup method to softap. You can change the ssid and wpa2 encryption to your liking (if you enable encryption which I recommend ofc)
