Root Wireless Tether on Froyo

I figured I'd chime in on this since everyone seems to be talking about 3g hotspot and barnacle. I took the wireless tether app from ASOP 30 that GNM modded and ADB pushed it, but it wouldn't work for me. Went into rootexplorer to delete the file, and on a whim tried installing it over the existing app. It works.
Not much of a write-up, but I know the D2a, Dots, etc are super busy on IRC trying to help everyone get everyone up and going.
 
Just install it from the Market, Drellisdee (getitnowmarketing) submitted his changes to the developer and they were implemented.
 
Do you have it already installed on your phone?

Edit: If you already have it installed you get the signed error. Uninstall the one you manually installed and get the one from the market.
 
im using wireless tether for root users by muller, lemons, buxton from the market(not sure if this is the version your referring to) but it works perfectly for me. speed seems almost the same as my cable connection with time warner(insert time warner joke here).

I installed this APP and I can connect my work laptop to the phone and it works for 10 or 15 sec then I cannot access any webpages.

If I reboot the phone it will work for 10 or 15 sec more and then stop.



EDIT: I updated the WIFI driver on my laptop and it is now working
