wireless tether

so ive managed to root flash a recovery and install cm7 and gapps and vaelpak wireless tether without using a usb cable to do any of this... since i no longer have one! anyways my question is...

Has anyone confirmed that wireless tether works on htc hero? ive searched up and down for an answer.

im preparing the phone for someone else and it is currently not in service. that being said just need to know if there are any special steps i need to take or if rooted is good enough. thanks

As long as you have a wireless tether app you will be good to go. I use wireless tether for root and it works perfectly.

If your going to flash CM7, the native wireless tether in CM7 is all that you need
 
We will all be seeing you on the other side, except for the 3D section, lol

lol well. i didnt actually see a native app on the hero version like the evo version ... but then again i didnt really care to look to thoroughly.

After loading up the latest nightly of CM7, I can confirm that there isn't a native wireless tether, only usb tethering. Sorry:(

I will not have to PM you now as you know how i feel about it so far, glad I waited to upgrade, worth every penny for me, if you need to know anything ask away and I will do my best to answer., still have a lot of playing to do but will as soon as my family members leave next week.
