With a new release, surely that meant bug fixes?!

Well my phone was near perfect running the stock 2.1, now running T-Mobile 2.2 i'm finding more bugs and having more problems.

I notice in the forums that there's more & more problem-posts. I would've expected more threads to be "Yay! x bug is no more", "2.2 fixes my problems"

Surely when a new release is made it should concentrate on addressing the existing bugs and "issues" as much as incorporating new feautures?!

All that seems to happen is that more bugs have been introduced and the old ones not fixed. I would lose my job if i did this.



Personally, i'd of been happy to stay at 2.1. No german apps/bloatware, don't really need 720p camcorder and would've had a lot less problems and better stability.

I have rooted myself & i am using a custom rom with no problems & very stable, personally i would recommend rooting & custom roms over network & stock roms.

I can understand that there would be new bugs. This is common across software releases. But yes usually the old bugs are fixed.

In my last contract. If there were bugs in the release, people might die. OK, android is not that critical, but it seems they just batter out the code without testing it.

One bug i had in 2.1 that still remains is this: Being unable to reply to a text i receive from my g/f. Then cut the text, create new text, paste and it will send fine.
