Well said EarlyMon. Thanks to all those who fought (and those who are in active service atm) and died for us to be able to enjoy the way of life we have today.

Thanks to all the Veterans, active and inactive who protect our country. Wishing you all a safe return.
It was sobering this morning to realise that, while there are no surviving UK veterans of The Great War, the will to remember those who made the greatest sacrifice is stronger than ever. Mere thanks is inadequate, but I offer it anyway to all who have and continue to serve their country.

i'm proud to have done 9 years!!! it was a pleasure being a part of the finest
You wasn't in the Air Force.
One thing I can say even with the rivalry between the 4 branches. When it came down to it and one person neded help. No matter what branch all 4 would have his or hers back .. I am proud to have served on the best bomber ever in the history of the Air Force.
The same went for the NATO troops I was deployed with. We talked a lot of smack in the mess hall. But when it was time to step up to the plate, we knew who our friends were.
You just can't beat the camaraderie in the military. Since serving my 6 years (Navy), I've only worked jobs where there have been a good number of vets. Or, at least, a number of them were military brats
