Woke up and mo S2 isent working!

But as for the files Is there anyway to know fur certain what file I should flash? This with 3-5 files and 3 odin versions is driving me crazy.

Have you tried getting into recovery mode again? Sometimes it's tricky. Do the key combination and when you feel it vibrate, release power and quickly press again. In recovery it will have your full, current model number. Then we can know which firmware is right.

Hm. If I hold volum up+main+power first the white and black samsung logo apears. Then black screen and the same logo apears again. After that it goes back to black screen and stays there.
This means Im keeping the 3 buttons all the way while I get the identcal logo 2 times.
No vibration

Confirm your contacts are or are not backed up into your Google account by using your computer's browser:
https://contact.google.com
But if you didn't set up your S2 to sync with your Google account, and you didn't manually back up your contacts on a regular basis to your microSD card or some other place, unless you're willing to spend some serious money to a restoration facility like DriveSavers, the chances are your contacts are gone. If you have a back up from a year ago at least there's that.

They are all there, thanks! :)

But so if im now looking for a new phone with android, any ideas? And yes I know there are a lot of high end phones around, but dont forget I was happy with the S2 doh it was sluggish at the end.
So what I really want is a stable android phone with good battery life, that has email and wifi. I dont care mutch for watching movies or games so battery is key here as long as it has the basic fuctions.
Heard a few good things about the Motorola moto g4 or maybe a honor 5x or huawei p9 lite etc? But there are so many to keep track. Any help would be great :)

The Moto G4 is a pretty solid performer, it would probably serve your needs well. You might also want to look into getting a pre-owned phone if you want to save a few bucks. One thing you might want to factor in if you get a refurbished phone is getting one with a user-replaceable battery. Used phones with fixed batteries have the limitation of the overall longevity of the battery is based on how well the previous owner used and charged the phone.
Do you plan on staying with T-Mobile?
https://swappa.com/buy/devices/t-mobile
Also, do you have a budget limitation on what you're looking for?
Another thing to keep in mind when you're shopping around is some phones will only work with specific carriers:

Good tips svim!
The prices here in Norway are a bit off compared to other countries I think. As for a budget im thinking about up towards to 300$.
Looking for a phone that can last 3-5years, so removable battery is good. Water resistant would be good but not nessesary.

Oops, I didn't note you're in Norway. Never mind about Swappa, it's been brought up that it might be be the place to shop around for refurbished phones in Europe. I'm not aware of such things being a typical ignorant American.

You Seem more like one of the rare inteligent americans ;)
Il look that up for sure, but the problem with norway are the hig taxes on import from other European contries. But hey I can buy a new one, and Il be happy for one around 300$ :)

I wonder if @Hadron is around. He is not American so he is really smart.;)
Plus, he can help you with European phone selections.

T-Mobile Galaxy SII? I think they put this thread here because it is the only one still open. You indicated it as the
International GT-I9100 variant with Telnor as your carrier but, I just want to be sure.
Hercules (SGH-T989) the T-Mobile variant was and still is one of the toughest and most flexible devices ever made BTW. Even though it is a Samsung.

I can help out with the S2, I use T-Mobile and can possibly help figure this out. But with reading the thread, I don't know if it's possible to restore your S2 to working condition. What's the latest thing you've tried OP?

I think the Mods moved the thread here. OP told me it was a GT-I9100. International variant. Which fits with his being in Norway.
You have a Hercules!?! I had one but I passed it down to my son (WiFi Only). Still running strong.
