Wondering if it's worth it...

Hi all,

I already have the Note (going to skip Note 2) and currently saw the 10.1 available in my area. I'm considering the 10.1 (WiFi only; no 3G) for its larger screen and features. Mainly, thinking about using the Note 5.3 for its intended mobile purpose outside home and 10.1 for more at home stuff. I do online CE courses and download course materials, etc. My home computer is a mid-end range gaming computer that my brother plays on from time to time.

The Note works fine for the most part, but eventually drains battery when I'm working on it and have to work while it's plugged in. It's not very comfortable to work with when it's plugged.

But I'm not sure if the 10.1 is worth it at the moment. The Note 10.1 will basically be used for my online courses with some multimedia, games and light reading when taking a break from studying. I also plan on using it as an electronic notebook and save on the amount of notebooks (and space) I've accumulated over the years. I do 'life-long' learning so I'll always be doing online CE courses for the rest of my career.

What are your thoughts about it? How does it feel 'writing' with it? Will my old S-Pen work with it (only asking because I have the S-Pen holder)? How does it respond?

I am hoping to get some input and feedback on your experiences with the Note 10.1. Maybe help with my decision making process.

TIA.

I spent 4 hours in a seminar yesterday taking notes the entire time, the pen is very smooth and easy to use. I did find on occasion that if I rested my hand in the wrong spot that my settings/option menu would pop up. Not bothersome at all. The battery life is incredible. I don't play any games outside the market (angry birds, cards, etc.) Video quality is great too. The multitasking is really a nice feature. Photoshop touch is also very nice. I would say try one out, if it doesn't suit your needs just return it :)
Not sure if your other pen will work, but it does come with it's own, nicely secured

Thanks for your time and input. 4 hours and still going, that's pretty good battery life; considering my Note would be close to being drained at that amount of time and continuous use. I really like the concept of it being more of an electronic sketchbook and notebook. Also multi-tasking is what I really need too as I work constantly with multiple apps. A complement to my Note being a sketchpad and notepad. LOL.

You are welcome. I hope you get everything you want out of it. I was totally surprised at Hong long the battery lasts. With mild use up to 3 days medium to heavy a day and 1/2. Heavy use at least a full day.
