Root Wont boot into recovery

Wether Bootstrapper or ROM Manager, I can't boot into recovery. It just does a plain reboot. I'm trying to install a keyboard and battery icon I found through rom manager and cannot figure it out. Holding home during power on then hitting search doesn't do it either because it doesn't bring up all files.

So are you or aren't you using DroidXBoostrap. You can't flash anything from stock Moto recovery.

Yeah ^^^^ Bootstrap is the only way to get into Clockwork recovery. Even when you use ROM Manager it executes using bootstrap. Download that and you should be good to go.

Edit: If you have Bootstrap you may want to delete it and reinstall. Might be corrupted

I'm already rooted and use both, just now it won't work. I'll try to reinstall.
You aren't being very clear and still haven't answered my question. You can't access CWM recovery from ROM Manager on the DX with out first launching the DXB app and pressing reboot recovery. Have you tried that?

Why would you want to get to CWM Recovery using ROM Manager when you only have to press the Reboot recovery after pressing Bootstrap Recovery?

Also I don't launch Bootstrap before I use ROM to install a backup.

I didn't think he was talking about making a back up.

I don't either, I back up straight from CWM.

you can also try turning the phone off then plugging it in then turning it on... I think (could be very wrong though) that I read somewhere there was a kinda "failsafe" built into clockwork that if you have the phone plugged in and turn it on it will boot into clockwork recovery...
again, I could be wrong but its atleast worth a try
I know mine did last night when the battery died... I plugged it in and turned it on and it went right into clockwork

Im not trying to make a back up, I'm trying to access and install keyboard and battery icon roms I found through rom manager. DXB will not boot into recovery, it just restarts it.

No offense, you aren't being descriptive. What have you found through ROM manager. Have you checked to see if you have downloaded a corrupt file? Have you checked to see if the file you downloaded is compatible with what ROM you are running?

I'm not trying to sound condescending here but the lack of details is really inhibiting most of us from pin pointing your problem. Hit me up on Google Talk if you need guidance.

Now im not trying to sound like a dick but I don't think I can be any more clear, all I want to do is boot into recovery, even to wipe battery stats, and when I click boot into recovery from either DXB or Rom Manager, the phone just simply resets instead of actually booting into recovery.

Sounds like you have a DX with an attitude. At this point if all else is failed, I would flasht the SBF.

Flash SBF? What do you mean use DXB to get to CWM, they are separate programs with their own boot launcher keys unless they're related and I'm not figuring that out.

They are related. What is a boot launcher key to you?

If you press Bootstrap Recovery then you get the Success notification, then you press reboot recovery that will boot you into clockwork recovery, from there you can do about anything you want.
