Help Won't boot webos, no moboot

So I installed cm7 A3.5 to my roommates touchpad today and everything went fine, booted into cm7 but gave me the damaged sd card message. I booted back into recovery and wiped data and then tried to put the sd card fix on and flash it but when I try to locate and install it its nowhere to be found.

So I was like alright I'll just redo the install. I choose reboot into webos in Android but it just stays on the hp logo. I tried a hard reset with power and home but now it still stays there and now I've lost moboot.

Kind of at a loss here. Not sure what I did wrong. How do I restore WebOs?

Thanks!

Here's what I'd do:

There are ways to copy files (moboot & sdcard fix) to your TP via recovery mode, with Novacom, but that's a bit complicated and I can't tell you how, SO your other option is to to run Doctor to restore it. That will wipe the data on webOS, but it will restore apps and settings automatically. You'll find links to the latest Doctor here: http://androidforums.com/hp-touchpad/406534-webos-tweaks-fixes.html

After you get webOS running:

  • Copy sdcard fix and moboot to cminstall folder. Your CM7 install should still be in the state you left it.
  • Boot into recovery. (Recovery mode = power + volume up) and reflash like you did initially.

See if you can boot into CM7 and let the sdcard fix work. You'll see an icon in the status bar while it works.

You could also copy CM7 to the cminstall folder, but I don't think you'll need it unless it bootloops. Call it optional... won't hurt. If you think it might need help, copy the CM file too.

The first option, how would I get into recovery mode?

Any good links on how to use WebOs doctor? Seems a bit vague the places I'm looking. I'm well versed on android and rooting so I think I can manage most of this haha

Thanks!

First option? I only gave you one.

To use Doctor, just download the file and double click on it. There's only one option, you run it, it reinstalls webOS.

Alright got another problem. The battery died and were trying to charge it but every time we plug it in it says we need the stock charger to properly charge it. He got it off Craigslist and for some reason didn't include the charger. We're using an HTC one. Are we sol until we get the stock charger?

You need a 2 amp charger and a compatible (2 amp) cable, which will also support 2 amps. O/W it'll take forever with a smaller charger.

A phone charger won't cut it. They're usually 1/2 to 1 amp.

Well we got the charger and webos doctor is doing its thing but its stalled on 12% and hasn't moved in like 15 minutes. Disconnect?
