Won't charge need help

Anyone know why my droid turbo won't charge. I have tired six different chargers and it still work charge. The only way it will charge is if I hold the charger a current way. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to Android Forums.

You should use the Turbo Charger that came with the phone.

From your description it would seem that perhaps you have some debris in the female plug in the Turbo. You could try cleaning it with a toothpick (no metal) and compressed air,

If cleaning doesn't help, the USB port may be damaged. The good news is that if you can't or don't want to do an insurance replacement, the droid turbo can be charged with a qi wireless charger. You should be able to find one of those at a Verizon wireless store, or there are tons of good ones on Amazon.

The other replies are valid, but I'm not sure what you mean by "a current way" as it sounds like you are using a wireless charger and don't have it positioned correctly. Please give more information, like are you using a charger with a USB cable? or is it a wireless charger? And if using a USB charger, did you also try changing the cable? Have you successfully used your chargers on other devices?

I've never had a problem with my turbo on any charger, wired or wireless, but I have had bad cables, bad connectors, bad chargers that don't work on any device as well as a loose USB socket. I even have a wireless charger that periodically has to be unplugged from the power source and then reconnected to get the "charging" LED to come on, then it works fine when the Turbo is placed on it.

Two good points there ... I was assuming a wired charger and perhaps he was referring to a wireless charger.

I use ...

Wired - Motorola Turbo
Wireless - Tylt Vu

... both are excellent and I've had no problems with wither.

I assumed that he was using a wired charger but it would only charge if he held the connector at a special angle.

There is obviously some autocorrect going on in his post - "... and it still *work* charge" I am sure was supposed to be won't charge, and "I have *tired* .." must be "tried". So, I'm guessing "a *current* way" is just an autocorrect of some other word.

I can't believe that there are many of us who have the ability to try six different wireless chargers. But, maybe I'm wrong?

FWIW, on several occasions I have had to power down my phone and turn it back on to get it to charge with the factory wall charger. This is a NEW phone too...
