I for the life of me can not get any button combination to work. I tried adb reboot download to no avail. I updated today when I got the phone. It has never been rooted. On 2.3.6 after Boost OTA update. Any ideas? I am trying to root this bastard and nothing doing! I've read hundreds of pages! 50 tabs open in Aurora, bookmark all, 50 more and on and on and on....
Ideally I would like some download mode, TU safe update and be done with it. I've rooted at the least 45 phones and this one has got to be the longest it has taken me and I still have no root.
Edit: I can not get into stock recovery either.
2nd Edit: Volume down is not functioning properly, what are my other options aside from adb reboot download as I have already tried that numerous times.
3rd Edit: Fixed with a jig that I made. Goes straight into DL mode. Now on to soldering that tiny little volume button back to the board.
Facts:
My SDK is set up correctly
adb see's the phone
USB Cable's are all new and I have tried different USB ports; standard, 2.0, SS
I am running Windows Ultimate on a Core i7 rig (also tried my Core i5 rig)
Restarted everything a couple times
I've tried it without the microSD in the phone and vise versa
No anti-virus, uninstalled it.
I have the latest versions of EVERYTHING.
I have brown eyes and like long walks on the beach...
