Help Won't go past recovery screen

I posted on this earlier when I couldn't identify this phone. But very simply...

I have in my hands a Droid Incredible 2 from in-law. Per asking them, it doesn't sound like they would even know how to root, or ever wanted to. However, this phone won't go past this white screen. It won't boot all the way, and I admit that I am not overly familiar with HTC phones. That said, would be nice to get this thing going again, since my fiancee is on Verizon and at least this could be a drop-in replacement for her very old flip phone.

Never did since I never heard from anyone where I asked about it. If I had to guess, the nand is fubar.

I was trying to get it set up so my fiancee could have something to use on her grandfathered verizon account.
