My phone was messed up so i reflashed the fresh 3.5.0.1 rom and then it just got all screwed up it had died with in 2 hours of unplugging from the charger so then i flashed into recovery and well i keep getting force closes at the setup apk so i cant do nothing or else i would be able to download Rom manager

i am now trying to flash a new rom but when i boot into recovery mode it doesnt give me the option to install from sd card

pretty much i have no idea what to do someone help?!

1) What is your hboot version? (Turn the phone off, then turn it back on while pressing and holding volume down).
2) What is your baseband radio version? It's listed in hboot, as well.
3) How old is your phone (hw version if you know it, or just age in general)
4) Did you update radios (if you had to)
5) When you go to recovery, what does it say at the top (Amon RA or Clockwork + what version)?

Supersonic EVT-3 Ship s-0ff
hboot - 0.97.0000
microp - 041f
Touch Panel ATMEL224_16ab
Radio - 2.15.00.09.08
Aug 19 2010 14:29

thats all it says at the top

I go into recovery and i dont know how to flash anything new or atleast i forgot, i turn the phone on and all i get is a black screen once i unlock it i can go to the notification bar but the home launcher wont work

Turn the phone off, then turn the phone back on while pressing the volume down button. Once in hboot, select the recovery option. Do you have clockwork recovery or do you have Amon RA recovery? Which version of either is it? Let me know, and I can give you more specific instructions with what to do.

When you flashed the ROM, did you wipe data/cache/dalvik? Here are the basic steps you need to take. Keep in mind this will wipe all data:

1) Reboot into recovery
2) Wipe cache/data/dalvik cache (dalvik cache is under advanced)
3) Flash the Fresh ROM. The option is just call install zip from sdcard
4) Once that is done, flash the radio updates from recovery. Again, I will direct you to section 6 under "After Rooting" of the Rooting for Dummies guide.
5) Once that is done, reboot normally.

If you need to copy anything to your sdcard, but can't use the phone at the moment, and can only get into recovery, you can mount the sdcard via usb while recovery. The option is under storage and mounts. Select that while the phone is connected via usb. You can copy the combo radio update zip to the sdcard that way if need be.

Let me know if you have any specific questions about this. I can help guide you through it if you need.

i do that and all it does it go to the bootload out screen and just does the animation and sits there for long time

when i do, do the clear storage i get to the last step of the setup app and then it will force close and i cant go any further then that

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean. Can you get to recovery? It's a black screen with menus. If you can't get there, have you ever been able to?

mine is a white screen and the options that i get is

fastboot
recovery
clear storage
simlock
hboot usb

when i go into recovery all it does is go to the bootanimation which is the fresh rom and it will just do the animation

if i do clear storage then i get to like if you were to boot the phone up for first time and takes me to setup wizzard and then the setup wizzard will force close and the screen goes black

Ok, that's odd behavior, but none the less, let's see if we can start by getting recovery fixed. I'm not quite sure how you lost it, or why it's just trying to boot up normally when you try to go to it.

With the phone connected to your computer, select hboot usb so that you can mount the sdcard on the computer. Download this file:

PC36IMG_Clockwork_2.6.0.1.zip

Rename it to PC36IMG.zip, exactly, being careful not to unzip it or rename it to something like PC36IMG.zip.zip (windows hides extensions by default). Copy that file to the root of your sdcard. Turn the phone off, then boot back into hboot. It should prompt you to flash the file. Once it is done, you should be able to get into recovery.

Ok i did that and it said that it updated. i flashed it then i went into clockwork i have no idea why it wouldnt let me do that before i didnt do anything to change that but now i am installing a different rom (MikFroYo-v4.4-signed) is there anything else that i should do?

i reallly apperciate the help and you taking the time to help me step by step

No problem. You really need to update your radios, etc. in order for any ROM based on 3.70 (such as fresh 3.5 and mikfroyo 4.4) to work properly, and not be unstable. Please follow the links I have already provided to do so. You will most like end up with instability again if you don't.

how do i do that the same way that i installed fresh and the other rom? and are the links on rooting for dummies page cuz you forgot to include them

You need to update your to the latest radios along with flashing Fresh. See the Rooting for Dummies guide, section 6 under "After Rooting":

Everything you need is right there. If you need more explanation, I'm happy to help, but please read instructions, first.
